Expanding Heart Transplant Opportunities for More Patients
Dr. Eman Hamad and the Advanced Heart Failure team are transforming heart transplant care, offering a lifeline to patients who were once told there were no options left. By broadening transplant eligibility, Temple Health accepts individuals who might otherwise have been turned away from other centers — and many who had been — including those over age 70, with a higher BMI, or with complex medical conditions. This approach gives more patients facing advanced heart failure a new chance at life.
